SRM Valliammai Engineering College was incepted in September 9, 1999 and presently conducts 9 Undergraduate courses and 7 Postgraduate courses. The college has highly qualified dynamic and dedicated renowned faculty both from Academic and Industrial background. Besides, the students bring laurels to the college by securing University Ranks. It is situated in an expansion of 13.35 acres and is by the side of NH-45 between Tambaram and Chengalpet. The serene atmosphere with the surrounding greenery is conductive to the pursuit of higher studies. The college functions in a multi-storied building complexes of 60,151 square meters to accommodate the demands of ever increasing number of students. The Valliammai Society was founded by Dr.T.R.Paarivendar, a well-known educationist, in the name of his mother Tmt.R.Valliammai, under whose care and guidance he attained greater heights in his personal development and whose ideals continue to inspire him.

About Department

In tune with the steep increase in the global demand in the 90s for innovative and sophisticated equipments and instruments, the department of electronics and instrumentation was established in the year 2002. The objective of the institution and of the department is to impart quality technical education and promote the growth of effective, efficient and true professionals. While the first year co-curriculum begins with a common knowledge base and customizes Students by grounding in basic engineering foundation and in critical hands on skills in engineering practices, the course has access to enhance the learning, student perspective and experience to Develop specialization in areas of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Class room Learning is complemented by practice in Hi-Tech labs, projects and hands on experiences, so as to foster knowledge in Engineering and Technology. The department strives to develop long term relationship with industries and market the students‟ talents, effectively. The department has a name for itself among the top colleges at university level through symposia and conferences and also through its outstanding and consistent performance in the examination and placement.

This event consists of three rounds .A team may have 2- 3 members .The team which scores the highest mark will be the winner.

PRELUDE

• This round tests the cognitive skills of the participants.
• Multiple Choice Questions consists of stem with plausible options.
• The top seven teams will be qualified for the second round.

• This round tests the hypothesis, expectation about how a particular process / phenomenonworks.
• We round up with unintentional clues of thegoals of the experiments.
• Once you start innovating the logic, youwould be able to clear this round.

• Each team will be given a set of ten questions,based on the category they choose.
• The first team to answer most questions, wins.

A set of images will be provided. The images will have a technical word
behind them. Participants should find the word by connecting the images.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

• This event consists of two rounds
• This is a team event. Maximum 3 persons per team is allowed (one
person is not allowed)
• Participants will be selected to second round based on their marks in
round one
• The team with highest score in round two will be declared as winner

• First round will be a Paper and Pen round
• Participants will be provided with a set of twenty questions
• First ten questions will be MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions)
• Second ten questions will be a set of images
• Each question carries one mark

• Second round will be a projector round
• The set of images will be projected on the screen
• Each team will get three individual questions
• Each question carries five marks. In case if a team fails to answer the
question in their turn, then that question will be passed to next team.
• If the passed question was answered correctly, then the team will be
awarded three marks for that question

In this event,the participants will find the bugs(mistakes) in the circuit
and the clues will be provided.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

• This is a team event. Minimum 2 members in a team.
• Participants will be selected based their marks.
• The highest score in round 3 will be the winner.

ROUND 1
• The participants will select the game based on lot system.
• It is a paper & pen round.

ROUND 2
• This round is like word game .
• Technical words will given to participant 1 and Participant 2 will find the
word based on the clues given by participant 1.
